If you’re like most people who follow me and read my blog, you love your family and want to grow, improve, and see you and your family thrive in every area of your life. You are active in your community and in your church and you are serious about wanting to never settle for less than your best. You want this for you – and also for those you love.
But, like most of my readers, you probably have some struggles too.
- You struggle to find the balance between just making life work and your goal of “thriving” at it.
- You struggle to determine what priorities are most important and what to focus on first when everything feels like a priority.
- You often feel “stuck” and wonder how to see your dreams for your family become a reality.
- You struggle to sort through all of the helpful information that is out there and determine what, specifically, you should do with it all.
If that sounds familiar, then you’re in the right place. You’re not alone.
I Understand How You Feel
I know what you are feeling. I feel it too! As a husband, father of four girls (please pray for me!) and trying to run a home-based business – it feels overwhelming at times.
I want to put God first, family second, and be able to look back and see that I did not settle for mediocre or average in any area of my life. I am a hard worker who loves to learn, grow, and take on a challenge. But I knew that, to achieve my goals and dreams, I was going to need some help. I needed a coach or mentor(s) who know where I’ve been and, more importantly, who can give me the tools I need to help me get where I want to go.
If you’ve read my About page, you’ll recall that I have tried to surround myself with people who can get me where I want to go. I want to be the best at whatever I do. So I determined to be a student of the best in order to (hopefully) speed up my ability to learn and apply their experiences and wisdom to my own life and family. I have, then, adopted many coaches and mentors. I follow them closely and am open to learn and grow from them. This blog is my invitation to you to do the same.
Be A Follower
So that’s what I do. I follow them. I am a follower and encourage you to be one, too. I know that as leader, that sounds like the wrong idea. But just as the Apostle Paul wasn’t ashamed to say to his audience, “Follow me…as I follow Christ.” I, too, am encouraging you to do the same. Follow me, but know that I am not the master. I am learning from the best minds I can find and want to pass along to you what I’m learning. In that way, I can help. We can grow together. That’s the goal.
That’s exactly why I decided to write this blog.
I am not the expert (yet). I don’t know how to answer every pressing question or help heal and restore every family issue (yet). I don’t have the credentials (yet) that would “wow!” you or make you want to name your children after me (although Nate is a pretty cool name if you’re looking for one!). But what I CAN DO is condense the best information that I can discover and present it in my own way. I can take what the best thought leaders and family-focused people know and do and share it with you. I won’t pretend to be the best. I doubt that would matter to you anyways. You just want to help your family thrive at life! Me too.
So let’s grow and learn together. That’s what this site is all about.

Last thing: If you’re like most of my readers, you are a leader. If you weren’t, you probably wouldn’t be interested in trying to lead your family better. Most likely, people look up to you and trust you for help and answers. If you think this site can help other families that you know to grow and thrive in areas of their life – please share my site and posts with them. You can also share posts on your social media when you think it is worth sharing. There are simple links at the bottom of each post to do this. It’s super easy!
We are all in this together and this blog may help you to do what this is all about:
